He just asked, when giving his opinion about an offside, where the attacker was when the ball DEFLECTED OFF THE DEFENDER.
That has no relevance. It's where the attacker is when the PASS is made.
I don't know if the co-commentator is similarly ignorant, or didn't want to show him up.

He can't commentate in a clear and understandable manner so how do you expect him to be able to explain a law of the game?

someone should get him.to explain the rule/Law. If he cant in a clear manner then as einstein said ...he probably doesnt understand it. Though i assume Einstein was referring to weightier matters than the offside rule.

The game is governed by the LAWS of the game and the FA RULES
Offside is covered by LAW 11
